Jade is a self taught mixed media artist from Eugene, Oregon, USA. While she always worked with paint, ink and graphite, she recently discovered Linocutting a year ago. She enjoys the tactile nature of it, and the grand reveal as the print is pulled. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, she is inspired by what is around her. She strives to capture the beauty of the world we live in, as well as the creatures who inhabit it alongside us. Her hope is to share this with others, so that we all might stop and appreciate the everyday beauty that surrounds us, even if it’s as simple as a crow on a lamp post, or the moon in the sky.
Christian Reimann stumbled over her work via social media and was impressed enough to buy a print immediately. Due to the nice contact he decided to ask if Jade could imagine to be the guest artist for the opening of his planned gallery das-kleingedruck.de (mouseprint) and was happy that she did agree to join this experiment.
